Quote of the Week

“You could also say that street art is dangerous. The controversial aspect of street art comes from this truth - that it's not clearly lawful... that's why it's interesting. It doesn't respect the rules of materialistic society where everything that’s paid for is what’s allowed.” It’s a free art form that can’t be controlled, that can stand up to “the commercial spam on the street”.

-SKARF, one of the first Czech graffiti artists. His real name is actually Jan Zajicek.

CZECH'in out Prague

The Czech Republic will be the featured country of the week, located in the heart of Europe.  I will focus mainly on the art found in Prague, the beautiful capital city of Czech pictured below.

Hello World!

Each week I will feature a different country with some awesome art and museums you can find there.  I will attempt to find art that you haven't seen before and that is unique to the particular country featured.  For those of you who aren't  a geography genius like myself, I will include a world map with an arrow pointing to where the country is located.  So, if you don't have time to travel, just read my blog and you can see the coolest part of a country right here on your computer screen.  Or if you do have time to travel and you are going to a country that I feature, you better look for the pieces shown on my blog.  Chances are, they probably look way cooler in person.
